A few kilometres from the Lapinsalmi parking area, climb to the over 20 metres high Elving tower to admire the wilderness scenery. The white, octagonal tower is a prominent feature in the landscape. Local eminence Rudolf Elving had this tower built in 1905–1907. It was used for monitoring possible forest fires and unlawful hunting and fishing.
On summer weekends, the Elving tower is open to the public for a fee. Climb to the top to admire Repovesi from another perspective. Local Lions Clubs are responsible for the maintenance of the tower.
The tower is located just a few kilometres from the park, close to the Lapinsalmi entrance.
